U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 8-3 (pronounced "eight three") proudly serves the lower Ohio Valley area, comprised of the four rivers area of Western Kentucky and Southern Illinois and is dedicated to keeping the area waterways safe for all users.
Individuals or groups who are interested in recreational boating safety are invited to take advantage of our educational programs and free vessel safety checks, or even explore becoming a member of Flotilla 8-3 Lower Ohio River.
In addition to public educational programs and vessel safety checks, our members also receive special training to assist the U.S. Coast Guard in non-law enforcement programs such as safety patrols, search and rescue, and marine environmental protection.
Flotilla 8-3 normally meets at 1800 HOURS
for dinner and fellowship with the meeting/training at 1900 on the Third Tues of each month. The
May meeting for Flotilla 8-3 will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at Yu's
Kitchen, I-24 Exit 3 West in Paducah.
A reminder will be sent out the week before.
